Author’s Bio, Casey A. Telling
Born in Seattle, Casey grew up an Air Force brat in places such as the Azores; Vancouver,
WA; Aurora, Colorado; and Puyallup, WA. He developed an interest in reading after
graduating from high school, and went on to earn his associate’s degree from Green River
Comm. College, and an M.A. from Faith Evangelical
Lutheran Seminary in Tacoma, WA.
He has held memberships in the American Academy
of Religion, the Society of Biblical Literature, the Biblical Archaeological Society and the Evangelical Philosophical Society.
Among his favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Raymond Feist,
Terry Goodkind, Hickman & Weis, Norman L. Geisler, William Lane Craig, and J.P. Moreland.
Writing fiction became a passion several years ago when Casey sought
to depict a character in a work of fiction reminiscent of his lovely wife, Elvera. A few chapters of exercise blossomed into
a full-length novel. Prominent among his writing technique is the desire to communicate sound moral and ethical principles
that echo the process of sub-creation, a la Tolkien.
Into the Blood of the Sun is the first in a series in which he hopes to capture
the essence of life and death, function and privilege, love and hate and the diversity of personalities that contribute to
any community.
